Male Potency Foumula w/o A Prostate Gland

Question: Dear Dr. Ettinger,

Does liquid Ultra Male Potency Formula still work if you had your prostate removed?

Frank

Answer: Frank,

The odds are not in your favor here (and that’s with any product of this type). It may have some impact but it would most likely be very mild, if at all. Sorry about that.

Sincerely,

Marcus Ettinger DC, BSc

Have a question? Ask the Doctor! July 2008

Question:Dr. Ettinger

I am a 43 year old woman…weighed 122 pounds in February and starting gaining weight unexplainably…all in my stomach.  I have now gained 27 pounds.  I am a runner and typically watch what I eat so this is unusual.  I have also had gas….daily.  My stomach is bloated/distended to the point I look like a pregnant woman by the end of the day.  My Doctor has ran a series of tests including referring me to a gastro-Dr…..had a colonoscopy.  Not sure what is going on.  I was in Mexico in January…..possibly a parasite or something.  The weight gain is extremely unusual.  I have been under a lot of stress….my daughter was killed in an accident in Oct. 2006.  Any thoughts on what may be going on and any natural remedies I can try.??

Thanks

Sarah

Answer: Sara,

First, please read all the disclaimers below. (Only found at the bottom of my out-going e-mails)

As you mentioned, it could be a parasite, stress or any number of other things. It would take a thorough consultation, initial exam with labs to get a confirmation of what’s going on. If you can get to Orange, California, that would help us both out. If not, I would find a holistic practitioner in your area. The medical profession is great with diagnostics but lousy with treatment.

Let me know your thoughts on this.

Sincerely,

Marcus Ettinger DC, BSc

Am I asking for something impossible?

Subject: Product inquiry

Question: Dr. Ettinger,

I have been attempting to order a product you have shown in your product catalog; however I do not see the product listed on the website and when I contacted your customer service line to place an order the customer service representative stated he could not pull the product up on his computer either. I want to know has the product ( LIQUID GHR- PRO) HGH for the body been discontinued or is it listed under a different name. Please help as I would love to place an order for this product. The description of the product definitely makes me interested in receiving the benefits from using
such a product.

Thank you in advance for your response.

Lisa DeLoatch

Answer: Lisa,

I am very sorry for the delay. That product has been discontinued. Tell me what body challenge you want handled or what are you trying to achieve and I can help pick out some products. They may be ours or something else you can get at a health food store.

Sincerely,

Marcus Ettinger DC, BSc.

Reply: Dr. Ettinger,

Thank you for your response. I am so sorry the product is discontinued. Right now I am experiencing the need for some hormone therapy. I need or desire a supplement that will help me keep my youthful appearance and help me with my skin, hair and nails; something that can control some of the symptoms of menopause as well as increase my metabolism to help rid my body of fat. I hope I am not asking for something impossible, but according to the description of the product (Pro HGH) I am inquiring about with you, it is such a product.

Thanks in advance for your help. I’ll be looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Reply: Lisa,

Age is genetics + diet (food and supplements) + outside forces (drinking, smoking, sun) + attitude. I can help with “diet”.

To help slow down aging we need lots of antioxidants. I am 43 and I take our Vitamin E (1), Vitamin C (1), Ultra Supreme Greens (1 heaping tblsp), Lecithin Granules (2 tblsp), Liquid Power (1 ounce), and Whey Protein. From a health food store I take liquid flax seed oil (1 tblsp) and psyllium husk fiber (1 heaping tblsp). I mix everything with water and some frozen fruit in a blender; that’s’ my breakfast. I know it may seem like a lot, it isn’t and I know it does cost a bit.

This program is immune stimulating, anti-aging, low calorie, high antioxidant, super energy producing, anti-Alzheimer’s….. My wife and I will do this for the rest of my life and so will hundreds of patients of mine. This is not only one of the best breakfasts we can have it’s medicine – preventative and curative (my opinion).

I am also attaching my food list.

There is no magic pill to help us stay young. It comes down to clean, natural food; good supplements; exercise; positive attitude; and good genetics.

Let me know what you think about this.

Sincerely,

Marcus Ettinger DC, BSc.

Reply: Dr. Ettinger,

I currently use the Ultra supreme greens and the Liquid Power, Vitamin C and E; the Goji and Mangosteen juice, HRT and an iron supplement; and eat a variety of fruits for breakfast; however I never thought to mix all of this in a blender and enjoy it that way. Of course I will have to add whey protein, flaxseed and fiber. I make it a point to make sure I choose products that are high in antioxidants. Yes, I like it and will consider the change this week. I did not have an attachment of the food list you indicating you were attaching ,will you send it to me please? What else do you have to help me with the diet? Thank you very much for this information it helps a lot.

Lisa DeLoatch

Reply: Lisa,

When you have that for breakfast and follow the food list your body will naturally lean down. Exercise is very important to keep your metabolism up. If you need a little edge than check out the bottom products on our full product list. There are some aids for fat burning, cortisol (stress weight gain), energy, and appetite suppression.

Reply: Thank you Dr. E!

I will use the list as a guide to a healthier and better me.

I have left chest wall burning pain since July of 2006

Q: I have left chest wall burning pain since July of 2006. My chest wall gets hardened when cold weather hits. I have gone to my doctor, gone to the Mayo Clinic and no one can tell me the source or cause. I feel frustrated. My right arm and leg fall asleep when I am asleep at night. Please let me know if you might have a clue as to what is going on. Test results for Lupus have been negative six times tested.

Monica

A: Monica,

I would love to help but the information you are providing me is minimal at best. I would be guessing if I gave you a possible cause with just the data you provided. What you have going on would require me to actually see you.

If it were me, I would find a chiropractor who practices holistic medicine. Get some spinal adjustments (if indicated), get checked out nutritionally, get on a program (if indicated), and get exercising. I have found that the majority of all medical conditions can be corrected through: diet, exercise, chiropractic, nutritional supplements, cleansing, and exposure to the sun (under used treatment).

An analytical observation of the majority of all medical conditions proves that they are not caused by a medication deficiency. Being that these conditions are not caused by a deficiency of a particular medication, than what can cause them? Simple, lack of following a proper diet, lack of exercise, lack of keeping the central and peripheral nervous system free of irritation, lack of nutritional supplementation, lack of adequate liver, kidney, and bowel cleansing, and lastly, lack of adequate exposure to the sun (vitamin D synthesis). There are a couple of other components like stress and sleep but the above are the core reasons.

Sincerely,

Marcus Ettinger DC, BSc.

Macular Degeneration

July 16, 2007 by

Q: Hi Doc !

I am desperate to find a solution to my 91 yr. old mother’s dry macular degeneration. For the last 2 years at my urging she has taken a handful of recommended “eye vitamins” (Vitacost’s Ocu-Power, plus additional lutein, zeaxanthin, ginkgo, etc.) with no improvement. She has blue eyes and gardened many years without sunglasses, but no other risk factors such as smoking, and other bad habits — a big veg eater all her life, particularly leafy greens. Also, no known cases of macular degeneration in her family. Conventional medicine offers her no hope, and she now despairs that alternative medicine has any remedies either.

Is there a beneficial supplement “out there” that I have missed — something that could possibly reverse some of the damage to her eyes? Not hoping for a miracle cure. My mom has no major health problems — cholesterol a little high, tinnitis, that’s it — and could be very active if she could just see.

Thank you for your time,

Barb G.

A: Barb,

It sounds like you are on top of it. I have no idea at this point how beneficial this will be but I would definitely add it to the program – 3 a day for 30 days than 1 a day there after.

Oculotrophin PMG from Standard Process. Not is stores – must get from DC, DO, ND, MD, or internet.

Sincerely,

Marcus Ettinger DC, BSc.

Response: Dr. Ettinger:

Thank you, thank you for your very prompt response to my question. I have found the supplement you recommend online, and intend to order it for my mother. If she has any success with it, I will report this good news to you so that you may pass it along to anyone else looking for effective strategies for macular degeneration.

Sincerely,

Barb G.

Body: This is by far the best website I ever had the pleasure of dealing With. It’s my second time and I am hooked, because customer service is personable and Dr. Ettinger is a wonderful example of someone who can do business well but has intrinsic value and a concern for peoples health as opposed to the pharmaceutical giants of the world who think they can remedy any malady! Nature is the way and a lifestyle change is key. I finally found the kind of people I want to deal with for a long time to come!

Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) – Testimonial

To Whom It May Concern:

I’m the mother of a six-year-old boy named Christopher, who has a history of hyperactivity and behavioral problems. Christopher is normally a sweet and loving child, but frequently throws tantrums in which he becomes so frustrated and angry that he starts kicking, hitting, biting, clawing, and screaming. These tantrums have often lasted for several hours at a time, sometimes ending only when he becomes completely exhausted and cries himself to sleep. Several people, including a preschool teacher and a clinical psychologist, who examined and evaluated my son, suggested that he be referred to an M.D. to be given Ritalin or some other type of behavior-altering medication. Instead, I took Christopher to Dr. Marcus Ettinger who gave him two nutritional supplements (Min-Chex, a holistic nutritional supplement and y-Aminobutyric Acid [GABA], an amino acid). I administered one capsule each of Min-Chex and GABA per day, the results were amazing! On several occasions, when Christopher began throwing a tantrum, I would hold him down long enough to get him to eat a small amount of food with the supplements mixed in. Within 15 to 20 minutes he would be calm and pleasant. There has not been a single instance when Christopher’s behavior has not improved after he received Min-Chex and GABA. Our family members and friends have also commented on the behavioral changes. I’m extremely grateful to Dr. Ettinger for providing a holistic alternative with no harmful side effects.

What is The Glycemic Index?

Dear Dr. Ettinger,

What is the Glycemic Index?

A: The Glycemic Index (GI) is a measuring system that ranks carbohydrates on the extent to which they raise blood sugars levels after eating. It makes a gram for gram comparison of carbohydrates in individual foods, and provides a measurable, evidence-based index of the concentration of glucose (sugar) in the blood. Dr. David J. Jenkins and colleagues at the University of Toronto originated the process in 1981.

After measurement, foods that score high on the Glycemic Index are rapidly digested and absorbed into the bloodstream, causing a glucose response marked by clear fluctuations in blood sugar levels to occur very quickly. Food with slower rates of digestion score lower on the Glycemic Index scale, indicate a more stable and longer-term energy source that causes gradual rises in blood sugar and insulin levels and a reduction of fats circulating in the blood. Foods with lower Glycemic Index scores can improve glucose and lipid levels in diabetics, control the appetite, delay hunger, and control the hormonal levels of insulin.

A low-scoring GI food product releases energy slowly, making them good food sources for diabetics, dieters, and endurance athletes, while high GI scores indicate substances that will raise blood sugar levels quickly and are best for recovering from endurance exercise routines. The glycemic effect of foods depends on the type of starch, the structure of the starch molecules themselves, fiber and fat content, and acidity levels. Glycemic levels can vary greatly depending on food variations, temperatures, ripeness, preparation, and processing. Also, the GI score of a meal with mixed items is hard to predict.

The Glycemic Index is primarily used for disease prevention and weight control. Evidence shows that people who stick to a low GI diet over the course of many years likewise reduce their risk of Type 2 diabetes and coronary heart disease. It is thought that the glycemic spikes from eating high GI foods may cause damage to the vascular system by free radicals, as well as by increased insulin levels. Recent studies show that hyperglycemia can cause an increased risk of atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease in patients without diabetes. It is further believed that increased consumption of high GI carbohydrates increases the risk of obesity.

Goji Juice – Testimonial 02/22/2007

Hi Dr. Ettinger, Thanks for your note.

My father is a doctor here in Peoria and he loves your Goji juice. He will be 77 his next birthday this March and is still very strong and sharp. Personally, I love the mental recall from it! I remember the most interesting details.

Thank you for offering such an incredible product.
Sincerely, Elizabeth B.

Thank you for your most recent reply to my questions regarding “Vibe”. I now have another question for you.

We are currently taking Mangosteen Elixir and Liquid Power. My husband, however, recently completed a tough round of chemo due to large B-Cell Lymphoma – the aggressive type. He was stage 2 (tonsils and one lymph node in his neck). His physician watches him closely, completing Cat Scans and blood work every 90 days. In July of 2007 we will be 2 years post Chemo. I thought the Mangosteen would be an excellent compliment to the Liquid Power but now I am wondering if the Acai-Max would be better for him.

I would appreciate your thoughts.

Thank you for taking your time to help all of us. Your input is extremely valuable!

Sincerely,

P. Whitehead

Dear Dr Ettinger,

Thank you so much for your help! You have no idea how wonderful it is to have someone care enough to write back and help us!

I started him [husband] on Goji then read about Mangosteen and thought that would be better. I am So glad you were here to help! I love your products and feel we are getting the very best! With good nutrition, lots of love, care, and help from the good Lord, I feel
confident we will never have to walk that mile again!

Thank you again Dr. E. and have a very Merry Christmas!

Sincerely,
