I thought Goji berries came from Tibet?

Questions: Do you have raw Cacao Nibs?
I thought Goji berries came from Tibet? and how are your Goji berries compared to the Himalayan ones at Henrys?
I know there is a dramatic price difference, Henry’s $6.00 yours $ 21.00.
Elizabeth
Answer: Goji berries do not come from Tibet nor are they grown in the Himalayas. MLM company Freelife and others started this myth and it seems to have stuck – but it is just hype. Goji berries are mentioned in Tibetan Medicine – but they are not grown in any marketable quantity in Tibet or the Himalaya’s – The altitude and aridness would not support the plants. We have been there – we know!
I think the berries in Henrys come in 4 oz bags vs 18 oz – I can’t remember if the ones in Henrys are organic?
Also if you buy 2 the price is $19.99 per 18 oz bag.
Our berries are high quality and certified organic. We think our pricing is pretty good when you take that into account. You get what you pay for. Example: look at the cost of Henrys Goji, Acai, Noni and Mangosteen juice prices and compare to ours. All our juices far exceed the quality found in anything on Henry’s shelves!
Lastly, we do not have Cacao Nibs.

Goji vs Noni or is it Liquid Power?

Question: In your opinion, which is more beneficial to a 62 year old woman who just wants to feel good and stay healthy – almost naked noni juice or goji juice? I have been buying the noni juice, but am reading the testimonials and benefits of goji juice, as well, and now i just don’t know which one is best for me. you offer so many different therapy juices – even the mangosteen elixir etc. etc. It is difficult to know which one is best for me, and i am very confused! Help, please.
Joan Kozla
Answer: Joan,
In my opinion, Liquid Power is the best “feel good” product we offer. If I had to recommend just one, stand alone product, it would be our Liquid Power.

Naked Noni Customer Comments – I love your product.

I have had an overgrowth of candida and it caused all sorts of physical problems, including my body not assimuating vitamins and minerals. I have been unable to take calcium or any type of minerals because it makes my joints ache and also my spine hurt terribly.
Since taking the Naked Noni I am now able to take vitamins, minerals, etc. Since I have osteoporosis this is, of course, very important.
Your noni doesn’t taste bad at all either. Much better than the other company I tried.
The circulation in my husbands legs, after taking noni, is so improved that he can now walk without any cramps in his calves and I mean long walks.
It has also helped my hormones balance.
This is miracle stuff!!!!
What a blessing!!!!

I am pregnant and would like some advice

Question: I am pregnant and would like to know if I can take noni to boost my Immune system. I have a cold and a terrible dry cough, and the doctor told me I should wait to see if it goes away before taking antibiotics.
Thanks, Julie
Answer: Julie,
I can’t give treatment advice but I can tell you that my wife took:
CAOH products:
1 scoop of whey protein a day (immune stimulation and protein source)
1 ounce of Liquid Power per day (Folic acid, immune stimulation and nutritional support)
Omega 3, 6, 9 – 3 per day (nervous system development)
Lecithin Granules 2 tablespoons per day (nervous system development)
I personally would not recommend the noni; I would go for the goji (This is if you only want a juice and not the above supplements. Goji can be taken with the above supplements.)

How much noni juice for a pets cough?
September 26, 2007 by Dr. Marcus Ettinger

Question: I ordered some of your Noni Juice and my friend wants to give it to his pet for a cough. What amount would be best? Also, I just read that your Noni Juice is pasteurized. Doesn’t that kill some of the nutrients?
Answer: Lilsweetpea,
I wish I could give you an exact answer to that question but I can’t. Personally I would not give it to a pet if I had one. Dogs and cats are not fruit eaters, so giving them fruit or fruit juices may create unwanted loose bowel movements and/or vomiting. It may not happen but I wouldn’t want my pet on my nice, clean carpet right after lapping up the noni juice.
About pasteurization: It is flash pasteurized, the least invasive method and it is a mandatory procedure. Also, unpasteurized noni juice does not exist, except for maybe a local, fresh squeezing it, at their home in Tahiti.
I hope this helps.
Sincerely,
Marcus Ettinger DC, BSc.

Answer: Marcia,
Fruit in general is not a very good protein source and noni is no exception. Noni has less than 1/2 gram of protein per one ounce of juice.

Can noni juice benefit someone with a pituitary ademoma?

I was wondering if you will be offering the 100% Acai juice?
August 3, 2007 by Dr. Marcus Ettinger

Question: I was wondering if you will be offering the 100% Acai juice like you do the Mangosteen? I love your products! I was a devoted New Vision International Mangosteen user until I discovered yours. It is so much better!
Thanks!
Melissa Murphey
Answer: Melissa,
We have been contemplating the idea of a 100% acai juice for some time now.
Presently we have an amazing supplier of 100% organic acai and this is what goes into our Acai Max, so if we did a 100% juice we would be golden. For at least two months now we have been going back and forth because of the fact that we already offer a 100 goji, noni, and mangosteen juice. The real issue here is that 100% acai does not taste the least bit good. I am serious, it’s worse than pure noni, which has been the bad taste leader up till this point.
So, what I am proposing, is to not create a 100% product but instead create the markets most unique acai therapy juice. This new therapy juice will be the most potent source of ellagic acid and polyphenols, acai’s active ingredients, available. I can’t give you the other ingredients now, but no one else has a product like it or even similar.
Our new Acai Max will be unveiled late summer or early fall.
As far as 100% goes, a blend will always offer a more unique therapeutic component make-up than can a singular ingredient. (example: A strawberry salad or a mixed fruit salad, which offers a more diverse phytonutrient make-up).
I thank you for your loyalty and confidence in our products. Please feel free to e-mail me anytime.
Sincerely,
Marcus Ettinger DC, BSc.

That makes sense and sounds like a great idea. And, I know what you mean about the taste of the acai. It is very greasy for one thing. I look forward to whatever you have planned. Thanks for your prompt reply and have a GREAT day!

A Few Words About our Bottles
July 18, 2007 by Dr. Marcus Ettinger
Filed under Frequently Asked Questions, Noni (Morinda citrifolia), Therapy Juices (Super Food Juices)
Question: Dear CAOH Doc,
Can you tell me what kind of plastic are used for your Noni Juice. You’ve explained that they are “frosted” to reduce the UV radiation exposure and resulting “deterioration of the juice.” However, I would like to know just how stable this plastic is (say compared to glass bottles), and the contaminants and rate of contamination you expect from the plastic leaching into the juice over time. I appreciate the lengths you have gone to in order to provide a pure, organic product, for maximum health benefits, so I am hopeful you can provide for me a complete understanding of the container you have chosen for storing and distributing your Noni product
Answer: Dear Greg, We only use medical grade plastic bottles for our products. Our bottles will not leech into acid or basic solutions and perform as well as glass in regard to inhibiting product oxidation. Our will tolerate temperatures way above boiling and are practically unbreakable. Believe it or not, plastic is more expensive for us to buy than glass. The draw back to glass is that it breaks and the extra packing is very expensive also. With the amount of products we ship around the world we would be replacing quite a lot of broken bottles and/or spending a fortune on Styrofoam (not very earth friendly). We use a major company’s product with the highest reputation in the medical and consumer goods industry. All of our bottles are sterilized before any juice is put in them.
As a FYI: The majority of fruit juices you see packaged in glass are not done so because the manufacturer wants it to look good, it’s because the product is heat (hot) pasteurized. The bottles are then hot filled, put into boxes and stacked on pallets. There the box acts like an oven and the juice further cooks (in the residual heat), for sometimes up to 24 hours. This process can only be done with glass. If you tried this with our plastic bottle it would expand when hot than slightly collapse in on itself as it cooled down. It would now have an hourglass shape and the label would start to have problems too.
Heat pasteurization and glass packaging is done solely to increase the shelf life of the product, period. It’s a sad but true fact that the majority of juice manufactures who use this method make claims about their product from “raw ingredient data.” The finished product is not a good source for their wonderful marketing material, because the product inside is now dead.
Sincerely,
Marcus Ettinger DC, BSc.
