I am a 43 year old woman…weighed 122 pounds in February and starting gaining weight unexplainably…all in my stomach.  I have now gained 27 pounds.  I am a runner and typically watch what I eat so this is unusual.  I have also had gas….daily.  My stomach is bloated/distended to the point I look like a pregnant woman by the end of the day.  My Doctor has ran a series of tests including referring me to a gastro-Dr…..had a colonoscopy.  Not sure what is going on.  I was in Mexico in January…..possibly a parasite or something.  The weight gain is extremely unusual.  I have been under a lot of stress….my daughter was killed in an accident in Oct. 2006.  Any thoughts on what may be going on and any natural remedies I can try.??

As you mentioned, it could be a parasite, stress or any number of other things. It would take a thorough consultation, initial exam with labs to get a confirmation of what’s going on. If you can get to Orange, California, that would help us both out. If not, I would find a holistic practitioner in your area. The medical profession is great with diagnostics but lousy with treatment.

Another customer just asked the same question. 

How do you feel about L-Tryptophan?  What kind of people would you recommend this for?  I know way back they took it off the market due to some unfortunate incidents. It was, as still is, totally safe. The FDA made a big mistake, now it’s fixed. 3 before bed is the recommended dose and can be taken by most adults.

Question: Looking for something to assist in lowering blood pressure. I had a DOT physical today and I’m 164/90. Since I’ve never been that high before the doctor is giving me a three month grace period to lower it. I wish it was that simple!  Why is your blood pressure elevated in the first place?  Is it an issue with: weight, salt, lack of exercise, nutritional deficiencies, diabetes, pre-diabetes, stress, kidney problems, sub-acute infection, heredity, atherosclerosis or is it a combination of one or more?  Get my drift.  Picking a product off the net or having me make a blind recommendation, would be a guess at best.

Question: My daughter has terrible “stress” headaches and trouble sleeping.  She suffers from migraines too.   I just ordered Magnesium Caps from you.  She drinks a lot of coffee – she is in a very intense doctorate program now.  Is there something she can take that might give her the same “kick” caffeine does but without the side effects.  Oh, she is also a vegetarian.  Do you suggest anything else that can help her sleep at night and relax besides the mag. caps.

Let’s see what the magnesium will/won’t do first. If that doesn’t handle the headaches, my advice would be for her to get a consult with a holistic minded practitioner who will act as a coach. Believe it or not, as a whole, vegetarians are some of the sickest clients I see.

Question: Hello,

The liquid is a vegetarian formula and does not contain colostrum.

To your question: Which formula has the greatest hormone stimulating capabilities?

Hormone stimulation is accomplished predominately by physical acts such as exercise, fasting, sex and sleeping, and too a lesser degree mood/emotions. Most of us do one or all of these activities daily (hopefully) and to the degree (intensity/duration) we engage in one or all of these activities, is the degree we stimulate our endocrine system to release anabolic or beneficial hormones. The referenced formula only acts as a catalyst and as a precursor source of raw ingredients the various endocrine glands will use to manufacture their respective hormone(s). In and of itself the formula will not act as the stimulus for hormone release but without it and/or the ratios of raw ingredients, the stimulus will be irrelevant.

There is an absolute and direct correlation with the amount of hormone precursors and/or catalysts that are or are not present, and the quality and amount of hormones that can and will be produced in response to an appropriate stimulus.

We have not done testing on that product per se but I do know the product very well. All I can say is if you are doing it as a business and you are presently doing well at it, great! On the other hand, if you are looking for a potent acai juice or other therapy juice, with no obligation and at less cost, than we offer a great product. There is nothing wrong with Mona Vie other than it is very expensive for what you are getting.
